Young Men

Training and Fellowship Group

Maranatha have established a space for the young men of the church to grapple with the challenges of life together and learn what it means to be a Christian as a young man. Standing for Christ comes with challenges, the bible says that "anyone who wants to live a godly life in Christ Jesus will be persecuted". For this reason, this group was established, primarily for the young men to grow together in fellowship and learn to support each other through their trials as they learn to live godly lives.

Part of the fellowship includes sharing with each other from the bible in the form of 7 minute sermons. This encourages deeper consideration of the truths in the bible and trains the young men to confidently profess the reason for their assurance in the gospel. The short sermons have come with laughter and tears and have created the environment for the young men to grow in spirit and in truth.

The young men meet once a month and are accountable to Jerry, pastor of Maranatha community church, who instructs their learning and progression in faith and fellowship. Each month the young men are given a new topic to cover in their short sermon, based on a theme set by Jerry. If you'd like to know more please get in touch.
